Return to A/B day schedule for
November 30, 2020 – January 11, 2021

We are returning to an A/B day schedule this upcoming week –  November 30-December 4.
We will remain with this schedule until January 11, 2021.
[For the sake of consistency, anytime we are virtual, we will use this schedule.]

Virtual Learning Extended Until January 11th

Over the course of this unprecedented school year,
the leadership team has been ready to pivot our plans at any moment
because COVID-19 is an ever evolving challenge.

Yesterday, Governor Beshear issued an executive order
closing in person instruction for all schools.

After further consideration and out of an abundance of caution,
the Interim Executive Director has gained approval
to extend virtual learning until January 11th.

In order to make virtual learning sustainable for scholars and teachers,
we will be switching back to our A/B day schedule
on November 30th

Extending Thanksgiving Break

We value at Nativity the mental health of our faculty, staff, and scholars.
We recognize how hard everyone has been working to ensure
our scholars receive an excellent education despite a global pandemic.
Therefore, we are extending Thanksgiving break
to our Nativity family.
There will be no live instruction next week.

I am so thankful for how our Nativity family has handled this trimester.
I remain hopeful that we will get through this together as a family
and will come out stronger in the end.

announcements for Thanksgiving break.
We have much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving,
and I pray that each of you enjoy a safe and healthy break next week.

Temporary Return to 100% Virtual Learning

In light of recent news of a faculty/staff member testing positive for COVID-19,
Nativity Academy will be following the CDC and KDPH Healthy at School Guidelines,
therefore we will be transitioning back to 100% virtual learning.

We will continue to consult local, state, and federal recommendations regarding COVID-19
and will keep all families up to date on the decision making process about if and
when we return to in person learning.

At this time, we want to offer you the information below for local COVID-19 testing.

Testing through your healthcare provider:

Currently all Louisville hospitals and health systems are offering testing for their patients:

As always, please let me know if you have further questions or concerns.
We appreciate your continued partnership and support, and we continue
to remain prayerful that each of you remain safe and healthy.

Nativity Academy Reopening Plans

We are confident that we are able to adhere to the safe and healthy guidelines administered by KDE. In order to accommodate all of our Nativity Academy families and students, we will begin to offer in person classes through a hybrid model starting on November 2nd.

For complete information and links click here…

We are excited to welcome our scholars who are joining us for our hybrid model starting
on Monday November 2nd!

As promised, our hybrid model will be 50% virtual and 50% in person:

  • Monday and Wednesday will be in person learning
  • Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday will be online learning.
We will utilize the days when students are not in the building
to ensure the school is properly cleaned.

The updated student schedule can be found here.
Click on your grade and gender on the tab at the bottom to see your schedule.
For example: 6G is the schedule for a 6th grade girl.
6B is the schedule for a 6th grade boy.

If you have chosen to remain 100% virtual,
you will log into your classes through zoom, as you’ve normally been doing.
Please check your google classroom for zoom links to classrooms.

remind linkWe are excited to share that Nativity Academy at St. Boniface is rolling out Remind school-wide! If you’re not already familiar with Remind, it’s a classroom communication tool that makes it easy to stay involved with your child’s learning. Remind is free to use, and you’ll be able to get and send messages on any device—even a simple text message from your phone!

As part of this rollout, official accounts will be created for all the educators, parents, and students at Nativity Academy. On Sunday, August 23, you’ll receive an email or text message from Remind. All you need to do is follow the steps in the message to finish setting up your account. Here is a video demo to see how Remind works.
